From October 2012 clamping and vehicle towing on private land will be illegal and therefore a criminal offence in England and Wales. This is due to the new Protection of Freedom Act received Royal Assent in May 2012.

Anyone who clamps or tows a vehicle without lawful authority will face extremely tough penalties. UKPC are one of the UK’s market leaders in providing parking management services.

We provide bespoke, innovative and intelligent solutions to all of our parking requirements WITHOUT the need for wheel clamping or vehicle towing.

We provide bespoke, innovative and intelligent solutions to all of our parking requirements WITHOUT the need for wheel clamping or vehicle towing.

Legally you have the right to protect your own property and at UKPC we have the right people and services to support you in doing so.

“How do I effectively protect my spaces?” By contacting UKPC and allowing us to demonstrate how our many services can not only protect your spaces for genuine and authorised users but also provide you with other benefits to add value to your site – without clamping.

Helpful Parking Wardens

At UKPC all of our Wardens are fully trained, courteous and can be on hand to help your customers varying issues such as:

- Assisting shoppers with their bags

- Directing people to different areas of a car park

- Reporting any health and safety defects to clients for resolution.

Our wardens receive continual training and support to conduct their job roles and are also regularly assessed to ensure they are delivering the service standards expected.

Independent Appeals Service (IAS)

Another important piece of legislation which forms part of the Act is the provision, from 1st October 2012 of an Independent Appeals Service (IAS).

Essentially this means if an individual has received a parking charge from a parking operator and appeals their ticket, for which UKPC have their own dedicated website and team. If the parking operator, via their own appeals process and procedure, uphold the parking charge and therefore rejects the appeal, then the individual then has the right to take their appeal to this independent adjudication service. All of these changes can only enhance the parking management industry and ensure that there is more clarity and accountability for all private parking operators, but also stringent guidelines and supporting mechanisms within which to operate. At UKPC "peace of mind parking solutions" is one of our key catch phrases. We welcome any positive change to our industry that supports us in our quest to demonstrating to client's that the parking industry can be professional, accountable, customer focussed and brand aware.
